This engine is standard in the base LS1 and all three LT trims. The LS1 is only available with a six-speed manual, while buyers can add an eight-speed automatic transmission.

If you’re looking for the throaty sound that defines the pony-car class, the 3.6-liter V6 is the first foray into more power. This engine has 335 horses with 284 lb-ft of torque. It is an available upgrade on the LT trims.

For more power off the line, the LT1 and SS trims come standard with the 6.2-liter V8 that has given the Camaro its legendary reputation. This engine delivers an impressive 455 horsepower with an equal amount of torque. The V6 and V8 engines have an optional 10-speed automatic transmission.

Buyers who want the ultimate Chevrolet Camaro performance can opt for the Camaro ZL1. The top trim is all about performance, with the same V8 as the Camaro SS and LT1, but with supercharging.

The ZL1 engine delivers 650 horsepower and torque. This model is only available with a six-speed manual transmission.
