Amherst, OH – August 13, 2025
The Amherst Exempted Village School District and Spitzer Autoworld Amherst are excited to announce a 10-year agreement for naming rights to the stadium at Marion L. Steele High School, which will now be known as Spitzer Stadium. This partnership underscores a shared dedication to community, education, and the advancement of young people in Amherst.
Spanning until 2034, this long-term collaboration demonstrates Spitzer’s ongoing pledge to support the communities in which it operates. With strong local ties and a commitment to investing in the future of youth, Spitzer Autoworld Amherst views this partnership as a meaningful representation of shared values and a hopeful vision for the future.
“We absolutely love being part of this community, and we couldn’t be more excited about this partnership with Amherst Schools,” said Jason Eyman, General Manager of Spitzer Amherst Chevrolet and Volkswagen. “Supporting local families, students, and future leaders is something the Spitzer family has always believed in…and we’re proud to be part of this tradition.”
Upgrades to the stadium are progressing well and are nearly finished. Since early May, the renovations have included replacing the natural grass football field with turf, updating the track, and installing new bleachers for both home and away teams. Once completed, the stadium complex will be the main venue for most of the district’s athletic events, including soccer, which previously took place at the junior high field.
