The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 changes include minor tweaks to the engine options. In model years past, the base engine was the 310-hp 2.7L 4-cylinder. This is still the base engine for the 2024 Silverado, but it’s been renamed and is now called the TurboMax engine with the same specs: 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.
Another performance-related Silverado change is with the 420-hp 6.2L V8. All 2024 Silverado models equipped with this engine will also get an active exhaust. When driving in Sport Mode on the Lorrain roads, the active exhaust system gives the engine a more robust sound quality.
Sheffield drivers who like to keep a tidy truck cab will be pleased to know that the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 changes include standard wireless Apple CarPlay® and wireless Android Auto™ in all trim levels, including the Work Truck (WT)!
